Top 5 Christmas Movies To Watch This Holiday Season

First off, Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. Since Christmas is literally right around the corner, I want to share with you my five favorite Christmas movies to watch this year. Some may be iffy but hear them out and check them out if you like them!

1. Elf

How can you NOT like the movie Elf? This is absolutely my favorite Christmas movie of all time. Will Ferrell as a human who thinks he's an Elf? Can't get better than that. This is a great movie to watch with either friends or family. Always gets a laugh out of people, and it is really fun to quote this movie. Really makes you wonder if Santa IS real. Buddy sure proved that Santa is real, but remember: Seeing isn't believing. Believing is seeing. Also, how can you miss out on the Mr. Narwhal scene? It is hands down the best part of that movie.

2. A Christmas Story

Ah, a classic. A movie with a sequel that sucks, and that later turned into a televised musical that ALSO sucked. See, I'm talking about the CLASSIC version of this movie. Where Ralphie shoots his eye out after begging for this weird BB Gun for Christmas, when Santa suggested a nice football instead. It is on ALL day on Christmas Day and I can tell you right now that it is on my television the whole day. I don't watch it all day, but it is nice to have it on and to just sit around while listening to it. This movie is most definitely a top five contender for Christmas movies, and don't try to change my mind on that.

3. Home Alone Series

Home Alone. Where after the 2nd movie they somehow snuck in a decent third one, and then after that ruined it. I will say that there are so many plot holes throughout this series. I mean, wouldn't the kid just call the cops if robbers were coming into his house? I know I wouldn't be messing with my house and boobytrapping the place if I was in that position. At least not at that age. But that's what makes this movie series so great. There are SO many problems with the plot that you just learn to enjoy it because it is a classic. You want to have a Merry Christmas you filthy animal? Watch this series.

4. Christmas Vacation

Clark Griswold. The man who tries to make everything perfect for the holidays and ends up shooting himself in the foot half the time. This is another classic holiday movie that you can't miss. With Cousin Eddy and the whole gang visiting for the holidays, you know it is going to be a great time for Clark. Why wouldn't you want to watch a guy go sledding through the streets, or having the police break into his house as mayhem is already occurring? Trust me it is a great choice.

5. The Santa Clause Series

TIM ALLEN IS THE MAN. I watched this whole series already and I still love it so much. A man who doesn't believe in the big man in the north, becomes the big man in the north. Really teaches you the magic of Christmas and that it is totally okay to believe in the mysterious wonders of life. I could watch this series over and over again because to me it never gets old. It also just has tons of funny and beautiful moments throughout the three movies in the series. If you and your friends need a chill movie to watch, I'd definitely go with this one.

Really hope you guys like my suggestions! I love the holidays so much. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and a happy New Year!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
