YouTube has skyrocketed into a successful social media platform since its debut in 2005. I’ve been watching YouTube videos for a long time and I pretty much know who my favorite You Tubers are. If you’re looking for some new content, look know further. Here are my top 4 favorite You Tubers.

1. Jackie Aina

Jackie is a makeup and beauty enthusiast who has more than 1.9 million subscribers. She is an inspiration not only to me but many black women and people of color around the world. Jackie is changing the standard of beauty with each video she uploads. She is always striving for inclusiveness in the beauty industry and remains true to herself and what she stands for

2. Alissa Ashley

Alissa is a makeup and beauty enthusiast who has amazing content. She uploads many videos on makeup tips and tricks which has helped me immensely with my makeup skills.

3. Raven Elyse

Raven is a fashion, beauty, and lifestyle vlogger who is the mother of an adorable baby girl. She uploads look books, tutorials, and DIY videos on current fashion trends. Raven has inspired me to work my hardest, even when I’m at what feels like a low point in my life.

4. Claire Marshall

Claire is a beauty and lifestyle vlogger whose content never ceases to amaze me. Her videos are aesthetically pleasing which allows her creativity to shine. Claire’s content is always well thought out and put together.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
