It's spring break season, which means beaches, sun and fun for most college students, and the other thing that it means is sunburn. Sunburn occurs because for a whole variety of reasons including not putting sunscreen on at all, forgetting to reapply, missing a spot, using expired sunscreen, or just being plain old pale. It seems to be no matter how hard we try not to get burned no one can escape getting burned over spring break. Sunburn is always painful but there are certain places where it is more painful to be burned than others. Here is a list of the most painful places to be burned as compiled by my family and I in no particular order.

1. Your nose

This has got to be the easiest place ever to get burned. I swear I could put sunscreen on my nose every 30 minutes and it will still end up being pink. The worst part about burning your nose has got to be the peeling.

2. Your chest

Another place that is pretty easy to burn no matter how much sunscreen you put on. It's not too painful and is more just annoying unless you get really really red or get a weird pattern.

3. Your back

How are you supposed to sleep if your back is burned? It's not possible!

4. The top of your head

Apparently, this has other health effects other than being painful. According to my dad, it causes painful headaches and just ruins your whole vibe. But for girls, it is super painful whenever you brush your hair and hit your part.

5. The back of your neck

This is soooo painful. It hurts every time you move your head and can cause your shoulders to cramp up according to my brother.

6. Where your arms meet your shoulders

I got burned here this time and it is so painful. It hurts when I move my arms around and when my bra strap is rubbing against it.

7. Your bikini line

This sunburn burns once you put your clothes back on and it is rubbing against your underwear and your pants. You have to waddle around to avoid the pain.

8. Your ears

According to my sister if you burn your ears they can get hard and crusty and who wants hard and crusty ears? Plus they feel really hot and they peel.

9. Your stomach

It tingles and feels like your skin is going to burst if you stretch. But the worst part is that you can't eat too much!

10. The back of your knees

I've never experienced this but my mom says it is the absolute worse. It's not possible to walk if you burn the back of your knees. Every step you take is painful, so moving is out of the question unless it is absolutely necessary.

11. The tops of your feet

Hands down the most painful of all places to be burned. You can't wear shoes or socks or move your feet. This was the first place any of my family members thought of when I asked them where the most painful place to be burned was.

The moral of the story is put on as much sunscreen as possible.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
