Disclaimer: this is supposed to be satirical, so don't get your panties in a bunch!

1. History

You weren't hugged enough as a child. While your friends were out having fun you were in the corner reading a book. But don't worry, there is always a need for a tour guide at a museum.

2. English

Not too good with numbers or physically talking to people. You bond more with dead poets that mean nothing any more than bonding with that girl that's winking at you in the library. Chances are when you finally walk up to her you're going to recite Shakespeare and creep her out.

3. Arts

You're most likely a hopeless romantic. You will be one of the few people that will make money off a heartbreak, you can sing about it or paint it. Lucky!

4. Accounting/Business

You never followed your dreams, unless you want to own a business then good for you! But let's be real, no one ever sets their hearts on going to school to learn how to do taxes or payroll.

5. Criminal Justice

You fantasized about T.V. dramas too much. You're probably waiting for someone to call you "Baby Girl" even though we both know that isn't going to happen, but best of luck to ya!

6. Teaching

You secretly don't like kids and actually have an evil plot to brainwash them into becoming your minions, and you're going to take over the world. We see you, we all know that Napolean wasn't 4 feet tall, why y'all lying?

7. Sciences

Your plan has always been to find a cure to a disease, at least half of you. The other half are just in it to figure out if they can bring back dinosaurs. FYI, it's a bad idea, have you seen Jurassic Park?

8. Nursing

You tell yourself you're doing it because you watched a loved one battle with cancer and that you wished you could have helped. But in reality you've just always wanted to be the hero in someone's life, you never liked being the damsel in distress. Oh, that and the money, let's face it the six-figure salary has been your deciding factor and why you're pushing through those classes.

9. Mass Communications

You were never sure what you wanted to do with your life. You know you couldn't give a billion hours to studying to be an engineer or a doctor. You also know that being undecided for four years is never the best idea, so you picked a somewhat easy course just so you can have a job when you leave.

10. Engineering

You've always been fascinated with the great wonders of the world and they "inspire" you to build the 8th wonder. But it's not gonna happen, you might build an office building with 3 floors though! So don't drop your head just yet!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
