We have reached the middle of October which means that midterms are well underway for many college students. Whether you're a freshman who is having these exams and projects hit you like a ton of bricks because you feel like the semester just started (but yes it is already week eight), or you are a senior who is just trying to do the minimum to pass, we are all riding the struggle bus together. But October shouldn't be only about exams. Just think, the leaves are starting to fall, the temperature is getting cooler, and Halloween is only two weeks away! So to get into the spirit of the first of many upcoming holidays, and to give you an article to read as you are procrastinating your studying, I bring you PUPPY COSTUME CONTEST. You're welcome.

10. While Skipper has put up a strong fight in his practice of becoming our friendly arctic creature, I am going to have to say that this may be the SEALiest attempt I have ever seen - 4/10

9. Alfred here receives props for being incredibly prepared by providing his own yoga mat and an extensive amount of sweatbands, however his lack of effort in performance is noted, making his ranking our number nine spot on our list. Exercise? More like extra fries for this pup! - 6.5/10

8. Charlie is moving up our ranks today for having one of the most creative costumes. Who knew a dinosaur wearing a basketball jersey could be pulled off so well!? However, Charlie remains only at rank eight for receiving a technical foul for traveling with the basketball - 7/10

7. Sebastian here moves to our seventh slot for truly coming into full character. He ain't LION when he shows that he is ready to find his wild side! Also bonus points for eating bubbles - 7.5/10

6. Bailey bolts into slot number six with a truly horrible firetruck pun: "I called the fire department and said my house was on fire. They said "Quick! Tell us how to get to your house." I said, "Try using those big red trucks!" - 7.5/10

5. Buster gobbles up spot number five by being the most prepared for the holiday season! He definitely thinks it's all about that BASTE when it comes to turkey time! - 8/10

4. Murphy here wins the prize for "Best Imitation of a Sci-Fi Character." He definitely EWOK'S our world! - 8.5/10

3. Can you DIG it? Riley here sure can! He's proving that any costume can make being on the job that much better - 8.5/10

2. Harley ranks number two for incredibly realistic background choices. Keep swimming with the fishes! - 9/10

1. And last, but certainly not least, our lovely jazzercising ladies! Spandex never looked so good! - 10/10

If you made it to the end, well done! Thank you for embracing all of the horrible puns and adorable costumed dogs. Good luck on the rest of your midterms this week college students, now stop procrastinating by reading Odyssey articles or scrolling through Facebook and get back to studying!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
