This season, cuddle up with some peppermint hot cocoa and enjoy these holiday classics. In a sea of holiday themed films, here is a (not-so) definitive list of the top holiday movies:
10. The Nightmare Before Christmas (2003)
This twisted take is wildly entertaining, and worth the watch.
9. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (1987)
Family classic, this movie is something both parents and kids are sure to enjoy.
8. Dr. Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Don't be Grinch and forget about this goodie!
7. The Santa Clause (1994)
Okay, I know this is debatable, but I loved it - and genuinely think you will too! Maybe not the whole series, but the first comes highly recommended.
6. Elf (2003)
While Will Ferrel is an acquired taste, he really executes the role of Christmas merry.
5. The Polar Express (2004)
Honestly, a beautiful film. Heartwarming, nostalgic, all the necessities.
4. When Harry Met Sally (1989)
I know this is a stretch, but there's some mention of New Years, so I vote it makes it.
3. Love Actually (2003)
Ugh, so romantic.
2. Home Alone (1990)
Talk about classic. It would be a near crime to neglect this flick.
1. Die Hard (1988)
I cannot talk this movie up more highly! It has action, humor, holiday spirit! The works! Indisputably the best holiday flick.
