Youtube..

So what? What is so special about Youtube?

Quite often I find myself feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or sad and need something to do to get my mind into a different space, a happier and calmer space. Youtube is such an amazing option because it not only has so much to offer, but it's also easily accessible. There are so many different types of Youtube videos/Youtubers out there for everyone to enjoy at the click of a button (with Wifi of course). I find myself watching family vlogs, funny pranks/experiments, lifestyle videos, makeup tutorials, DIY creations, and more. I have gathered a list of my top 10 favorite Youtubers so far in 2017, enjoy!

1. Claire and the Crosbys

If you're a fan of The Ellen Show, then I can guarantee that you know 2 out of 4 members of this adorable family. Claire is currently a 4-year-old singer who loves anything Disney. I first found her by watching her sing "You've Got a Friend in Me" alongside her father. Can I just say, I just about cried...it was so sweet. They continue making adorable singing videos (along with vlog-type videos) just like you see on Ellen, on their Youtube channel. 10/10 would recommend spending a few minutes checking out their channel while soaking up all of the adorableness that they have to offer.

2. Jess and Gabriel

Jess and Gabriel are married and currently live in Los Angeles, California. They met over Instagram and eventually got married. Their faith, dedication, and strength is greatly portrayed throughout each of the vlogs they upload. They both enjoy singing and recently released an album of songs they have covered. They also have a mini-golden doodle puppy named Milo and he's the cutest thing. Jess and Gabriel are very down-to-earth, loving, and overall inspiring. I would highly recommend that you check out a few of their videos.

3. David Dobrik

Okay, if you haven't heard of David Dobrik, please stop reading this....go check out at least one of his videos, and come back. His videos are all vlog style, but with a twist. His vlogs all grasp onto what an average day for David would be like, including his friends' lives as well. Instead of it being a laid back and realistic version of what someone may go through on a day-to-day basis, David and his friends create skits to perform during the vlog(s), sometimes inappropriate but always hilarious. I first started watching David's vlogs when he had around 4,000 subscribers, he now has 4 million. If that isn't enough to make you want to watch his videos, then I don't know what else I could say. Oh wait, he's dating Liza Koshy....(another Youtuber), who also creates hilarious content and only adds greatness into his videos.

4. Jenna Marbles

Her channel has never had a specific theme as it includes makeup tutorials, rants, animal related videos, pranks, DIY videos, reviews, and more. Jenna's video never fail to make me laugh! She has over 17 MILLION subscribers, I REPEAT...17 MILLION. Long story short, Jenna is hilarious and you neeeeeed to watch at least one of her videos if you haven't already.

5. Grace Helbig

Grace is such a creative, caring, and hilarious person. She creates a variety of videos, all in which portray her fun personality. I had the pleasure of meeting Grace in February of 2016 at the Mall of America at her book signing for, Grace & Style: The Art of Pretending You Have It. Meeting her was amazing and it only encouraged me to continue supporting her. Check out her videos, but just a warning...you may find yourself staring at your computer screen for an extended period of time.

6. Lauren Elizabeth

She isn't your normal beauty guru or lifestyle Youtuber, she has spunk, sass, and a heart of gold. Lauren makes helpful videos discussing skin care, makeup routines, cooking, monthly favorites relating to makeup & fashion, and her daily routine. Her videos are super entertaining and fun for almost anyone to watch, even if you aren't into what she may be discussing, her sense of humor is the best. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

7. Cody and Lexy

A married couple with an adorable dog making videos about their marriage, daily routines, and more. They're both very successful together and apart as they both have their own passions. They have chickens, a beautiful home in Los Angeles, and amazing personalities that only radiate happiness and love. Their videos never fail to make me laugh, so check them out!

8. jennxpenn

Jenn McAllister is hilarious, creative, and overall so so kind. I've been watching her videos for over 5 years and it has been so fun to see her grow as a Youtuber and as a person. She's also close friends with a few of my other favorite Youtubers. Her videos are one-of-a-kind and so fun to watch as they include DIY tutorials, pranks, skits, and more.

9. Shane Dawson

Shane is a funny, caring, and very creative Youtuber. He has specific themed videos including: food, conspiracy theories, life/beauty hacks, "WTF Five Videos", testing /reviewing products, and more. Shane has over 9 million subscribers and counting! His sense of humor is the best thing. I've gotten hooked on his conspiracy theory videos and I'm not ashamed (please watch, you'll understand).

10. Liza Koshy

Last but not least, Liza! Her videos are so different, bringing out her genuine personality and creativity. She often times follow specific trends on youtube, but putting a twist on them. She takes on different personalities throughout some of her videos, all of which are hilarious and always make me laugh. Liza has over 9 million subscribers on youtube and also has a second channel for her other fun videos. Liza is definitely worth the watch, so check out her channel(s).

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
