10 Childhood Shows To Binge This Summer
Disney

Do you remember the days of the best of both worlds? The "dang flabbit Miley?" The wands flying, the passive-aggressive Mr. Mosbey comments, or maybe the "Megggghhhaannn" scream filling up your living room?

Well, it might get a little fuzzy as the years go by. We scarf down shows with more drama and intensity like "Black Mirror" or "Stranger Things." Sometimes, though, it's good to take a trip down memory lane.

So, without further delay, here are the top 10 shows to binge this summer — shows from your childhood that may or may not have taught you more about life than standardized education (but that's a whole other story):

1. "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody"

There is nothing like seeing these two twins create chaos all around the hotel. Mr. Moseby, Estabon, Arwin, Maddie, London, Carrie...all were such significant characters that had you laughing, always. Who remembers that one episode where Maddie wasn't allowed to play Sharpay because "she looked and sounded nothing like her?" Good stuff.

2. "Drake and Josh"

"Hug me, brother!" Uh, what another classic sitcom about two brothers but this time from different mothers. "Drake and Josh" have been laugh-central in each of their seasons with lines like "I ain't calling you a truther," "there's a new Jersey?" or the legendary "I ran over Oprah!" Seeing Drake get away with his bad boy style, Josh be the sensible brother who is just as funny, and Meghan torturing the two every chance she gets... there's just nothing like it.

3. "The Wizards of Waverly Place"

What is a Waverly Place, really? Well, it's one where Harper makes outfits Lady Gaga once would adore, Alex screws everything up yet is supposedly a role model we all adored, Justin was the smart-and-knows-it older brother, and Max was the funny youngest child with the messiest room who once turned into a girl for half a season. But before you go...what's that? A hat? A crazy funky junky hat?

4. "iCarly"

Hear me out. This show is WEIRD, but it definitely made being weird seem cool in middle school. Sam's butter sock, Colon Pete, Socco's crazy socks, Nevel Papperman, T Bo sliding bagels on a stick NOT through their hole, Spencer's insane inventions and the love triangle that was "iCarly" — yeah, things happened on this show. Oh, and the fact that we were rooting for Spencer to stay Carly's guardian even after he almost hit her with an ax from his inventions is just priceless.

5. "Phil of the Future"

I bet you completely forgot about this one... well, don't! "Phil of the Future" was a sci-fi sitcom, where Phil and his family literally were from the future, but Phil had to go to high school, like everyone else, with his best friend and later girlfriend, Keely. Starting to remember now? This show ran for two seasons, with the finale honestly being such a hook. Travel back in time and see this futuristic show again!

6. "Full House"

"How rude!" "Cut it out!" "You got it, dude!" How can Full House not make this list? Each episode truly captured the essence of family, love, and life — and the importance of staying positive, no matter what. And how did the show convey these messages? Through hilarious moments, heartfelt hugs, and the hunky John Stamos. You can't ignore "Full House" on your binge-watching parade this summer.

7. "Hannah Montana"

I know that several years ago, this girl showed us she is more interested in a wrecking ball career than showing her blonde wig ever again, but in the seasons that it ran, "Hannah Montana" was actually a funny, sweet and good-hearted show that made girls everywhere wish they led a double life. Songs like "True Friend" and "One in a Million" were on every ringtone and Disney Channel Radio. Watching Hannah juggle life and her admirers like Jake was just too good. TUH GUD! Raise your hand if you're still rooting for Jackson's Bucky Kentucky and want to try his and Oliver's Cheese Jerkey?

8. "Spongebob Squarepants"

Ahahahaha...I'm laughing already. Patrick and Spongebob are quite the dynamic duo, Squidward is honestly such a mood, Mr. Krabs's crabby patties are always something you wanted to try (admit it), and Sandy was girl power supreme (okay, maybe squirrel power). Each episode was just too absurd and ridiculous that you just HAVE to laugh. *One eternity later....*

9. "The Suite Life on Deck"

I waited long enough to bring the Martin twins back, but here they are. This show takes the Martin boys on the cruise ship with Mr. Moseby and London...as well as with new characters of Woody and Bailey. Now, in the beginning, it was tough to see the replacements of the beloved hotel characters, but this show was actually just as funny and light... and the Sprouse twins grew up nicely, hehe...

10. "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide"

The Bible, the rulebook — a laminated NECESSITY — for life and high school, "Ned's Declassified" was more than just a classic. It was a lifestyle. Cookie was a legend with the best glasses kids have ever seen, Ned and Moze's chemistry was off the charts, and their overall obstacles throughout high school were more than relatable. Enjoy your trip back to memory lane by laughing about failed science experiments and awkward moments that now we can look back and finally say it's not "still too soon."

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
