The 55 year-old actor Tom Cruise is known in Hollywood for doing his own stunts on set. As Cruise learned on Sunday, August 13, sometimes this can come at a personal cost.

Cruise broke two bones in his ankle, according to The Sun, and is now expected to head home to the US for treatment. The actor was performing a stunt in which he had to jump from one building, to the roof top of a neighboring building.

While he was harnessed and took safety precautions, there was one they didn't prepare for: Not making it.

Cruise missed the jump. He ended up slamming into the side of a building he was meant to land on – and hard.

He hangs for a moment in his harness before pulling himself up to the rooftop, where some crew members were waiting for him.

He takes a moment to try and compose himself, but then asks for the safety crew to pull him back to the rigging so he could seek help.

Cruise plays Ethan Hunt in the "Mission: Impossible" movie franchise, which also stars fellow actors Henry Cavill, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, and Vanessa Kirby.

This accident comes shortly after CEO of Skydance Media revealed Cruise will be performing the “most impressive and unbelievable” stunt of his entire career on the set of franchises 6th movie.

"What Tom is doing in this movie, I believe, will top anything that’s come before. It is absolutely unbelievable — he’s been training for a year," David Ellison told Collider.

"It is going to be, I believe, the most impressive and unbelievable thing that Tom Cruise has done in a movie, and he has been working on it since right after "Rogue Nation" came out. It’s gonna be mind-blowing," Ellison continued.

Details of the new film's plot are being kept strictly under wraps.

"Mission: Impossible 6" was set for release in July 2018, but now production of the film will be post-poned for a few months while Cruise heals.

“He is the film’s biggest star and everything revolves around him. The movie’s bosses had no choice other than to postpone the filming," a movie insider told The Sun.

Hopefully, we will see the movie release by Christmas 2018.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
