In today’s world, guys and girls are held to a standard when it comes to love. They are expected to be young and in love at the age of 16 with the person they met in high school. Often, this is not the case unless God introduces you to the guy/girl of your dreams when you are young. Consider yourself blessed if that is you.
If you are that person who is afraid to love because of fear of rejection or you don’t think you’re enough, please do not think that. One of my favorite sayings is “If it’s meant to be, it will be” and I believe that with all my heart. If you are meant to be in love with that guy or that girl, it will happen. If not, it just wasn’t meant to be.
If you are that girl/guy who has been single for longer than you expected, please don’t give up. Don’t give up on love or even the idea of it. God has someone so special for you that will make all the waiting so worth it. Continue to chase your dreams, go on spontaneous adventures with your best friends and spend time with family because you’ll one day wish you had.
If you are that person who prays for your future significant other constantly but you feel like your prayers are never answered, I promise God hears your prayers. He hears your prayers and urgency. Don’t stop praying for your future spouse or future boyfriend/girlfriend. When you meet that person, you’ll just know.
If you are that person who is afraid to love because you don’t think you can be loved or you can give someone enough love, trust me you are loved and can love someone else. God loves you with an undying love and honestly, that should be enough for all of us.
So, if you’re afraid to love because of past relationships, fear of rejection, or because you just don’t think you are enough for someone, just know that you have a purpose in this world. You were made to love someone and love them with everything you have. Don’t stop praying for that, and don’t be afraid to love. Chase, it, friend. Chase it with all of your heart.
