It’s been awhile since I’ve last talked to you, but it looks like you are doing just fine. Nothing hurts me more than seeing you doing things that you would’ve done with me. I just want you to know that even if it hurts to be without you, I’m glad that you are happy now. You deserve all the happiness in the world and I’m sorry I couldn’t give that to you.

You said that you needed time to find yourself and love yourself, but I have a feeling you just grew tired of me. I don’t blame you, I just wish you could’ve told me the truth. I find myself spending so much time figuring out what I did wrong, but maybe it wasn't anything. It’s been really hard to cope with what has been going on, but I know I should stay strong. I know that it's a lot easier said than done, but it's what you would want for me.

One of the things that made me fall in love with you, was that you knew I was a mess and needed extra reassurance sometimes. As time went on, you slowly stopped telling me “I love you” or that I didn’t have to worry about anyone. With time, you got angrier and it really did start taking a toll on you. Even though my past was a wild ride, it has made me who I am today. I’m sorry that it’s something you couldn’t handle.

I hope you find someone you enjoy being with all the time because they give you reasons to smile. I hope that you find someone that doesn't make a lot of mistakes and is easy to forgive. You deserve a girl who will look at all your flaws and never try to change them. She will take you by surprise, just like you did to me.

I want to give you some of the things that you helped me grow in. You helped me grow in my own confidence and now I’m not afraid to speak in front of large crowds. You helped me realize to forgive others, even if they don’t deserve it because we only have so much time on this earth. You helped calm me down whenever I was stressed about the simplest things. Most of all, you gave me hope that there are good guys in this world who are willing to look past all my flaws.

I’m not sure if I can say what I did for you, but I really hope that I helped you grow as well. Maybe I helped you realize what you don’t want in a relationship or what qualities you want to look for. I hope I made you feel special at one point because you are more than what I could’ve asked for. Some girl is going to be the luckiest one out there because of how much you give her. I didn’t know what I had until it was gone, but I’m glad to know you’re finding yourself.

If you ever need anything, I hope you know that I will always be there for you. When most people say that, they never seem to reach out. I hope that isn’t the case for you because I will always care about your well-being. Maybe one day we will meet up and it'll all work itself out. For now, I hope you know that I don’t hate you for what's happened. I hope that I will have a place in your heart, just as you always will in mine. As we go our separate ways, just remember that you are an amazing gift to this world and you will be doing so many good things.
