In case you were wondering, a modular style dorm is the way to go.
I lived in Neely Hall and had the best of times. I never felt cramped, and thankfully my roommate and I got along 98% of the time.
College Station will slowly steal your heart, I promise. Soon, you'll be saying "howdy" un-ironically.
Use howdy in emails, in person, on Tinder... you NAME IT.
Sweet Eugene's is not the only Coffee Shop in College Station. Eat and drink locally at places like Lupa's, The Village, or Barnes and Noble Cafe.
As you find yourself craving a little snack or some coffee, remember that there are a lot of places to choose from! Also, if you go to B&N, don't forget to stop and read a few books!
As a freshman, Harry's or Shiner will be your only bars of choice. When you're of legal age, make sure to check out the Dixie Chicken, Social, 12, Logies, Obannans, The Backyard, and the REST of Northgate.
So, get ready for about 3 years of country music, sweaty people, and pregaming.
I don't care what you say, go to an Aggie Baseball Game.

Pros: you get to sit DOWN, there are bubbles, and the student section is smaller and more intimate. Don't forget your shades for "Shades on the 6th"!
College Station has the most unpredictable weather.
Even if it's the sunniest day that you've ever seen, bring an umbrella. It will rain. Your notes will be RUINED. Always be prepared. Also, it snowed during my freshman year- so there's no predicting anything here.
Whatever you do, don't walk under the Century Tree alone. The friendship branch is perfectly fine though.
College is hard enough freshman year and you don't need that bad luck to follow you the next four years.
Good luck for the next four years!
Aggieland waits for you. In the meantime, enjoy the playlists that they make.
