I can't believe this is happening. And I'm sure you can't either.

I remember meeting you for the first time and hoping to form that sisterhood with you from the beginning. You made it so easy to talk to you about everything and anything. You reminded me of what I was looking for in my college experience. And you constantly remind me why I decided to be part of this sorority. It's going to be so strange not having you around next year and I don't think that it will be something that I will ever get used to.

Thank you for everything that you have done for me and the sorority. I know I'm not the only one when I say that I look up to you. From handling sorority life to upper-division classes, you still manage to take care of everything. I honestly have no idea how you have done and continue to do it all. When things get really overwhelming, talking to you has helped me get through what has seemed impossible. You always seem to have the right things to say. From pep talks to just letting all of my thoughts out, you always say what I need to hear in that moment.

Thank you for always supporting me. And everyone else for that matter. Every time I talk to you about what is going on in my life, you are one of my biggest cheerleaders. From changing majors, jobs, and internships, you are always rooting for everyone as they reach their dreams. Knowing that you support us through it all is comforting.

I can't wait to see what happens in your future and I look forward to watching all your dreams come true. You've got such a great work ethic that I know that everything you want out of life will be achieved. I look forward to being your cheerleader as you move into "The Real World" or Grad school. Either way, I know you are going to make it.

Through all of our events, I learned how to be the best sister and best person that I can be. So thank you for everything that you've said, done, and shown me during my time as an undergrad. I will miss you so much.

From,

A Sister with time left to go

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
