To The Girl Who Feels Like She Isn't Enough

An open letter to girls who are stressing

To the girl who feels like she isn’t enough:

You are worth far more than anyone is prepared for. You are special and a “once-in-a-lifetime” kind of woman. Even though life may try to knock you down at times, always remember that you are growing into your truest form and every heartache, obstacle, and hardship will help you reach that awesome state of womanhood. Life is a funny thing and everything cannot be understood all at once, but one day, it will all make sense. All those nights you cried, all those times you wondered why no one liked you, all those times you had no strength, but chose to be strong will all make sense and fall into place. The hardest part is getting through the terrible times, and learning how to smile in the end.

Feeling like you are not enough sucks. It is a terrible feeling. Somehow you feel like everything you do, everything you say, everything you prepare, is not and will never be enough. Well, let me clarify that: if you have done all you can, then that is all you can do. No more and no less. Once you have given something or someone all you have to offer and if they still do not accept everything you have to offer, walk away. You don't have time to stand there or stick around and prove to someone your worth. If they cannot see that for themselves, then that is their loss, not yours. You could be doing other things. Other better things. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re not enough, because that is just incorrect.

It is okay to feel insecure at times, but don’t always feel that way, because there is so much to love about yourself. It is okay to cry and question why things happen a certain way. It is okay to lose it sometimes because that means that you're human. It’s life. But don't let it break you, and don't let it define who you truly are. Always understand that everything happens for a reason and in the end it will be okay, if it’s not okay, then it’s not the end.

Sincerely,

A girl who gets it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
