To The Girl Who Feels Broken, Keep Going

Dory said it best, "just keep swimming, just keep swimming".

First things first, I'm sorry. For you have to have clicked this, you must have related to it in some way. So I'm sorry you're hurt, but I hope this helps... even if just a little bit.

And believe me, I get it. Sometimes it all feels impossible. Sometimes it feels like it’s impossible to get out of bed, never mind to be productive with your day. Sometimes you just feel like sinking deep below the ocean floor and disappearing. I get that. We all have our days.

However, it’s important that you don’t let those moods or those days control you. You can’t let those feelings win. Pull yourself out of bed. Get out of those pjs. It’s time to conquer. It’s time to live.

Some days are harder than others, I know. But getting through those harder days are what make the other days easier. So please, just keep pushing. Keep moving forward.

This life flies by way too fast. Too fast to be looking back on the past.

It’s time to look forward to the future, and live in the present.

Do what makes you happy.

Do what makes you confident.

Do what makes you comfortable.

Do what makes you, well, you!

There’s no use pretending to be happy. Just keep pushing forward, and I promise things will get easier. Do what makes you truly happy. Because you’re some kind of wonderful. You always have been.

So I promise those harder days will fade with time.

I promise things will get easier.

I promise, that you will conquer.

I know these all seem like empty promises at the moment, but I know you can do it.

So, stop second-guessing yourself.

Stop doubting.

And please, please stop crying.

If I were you, I would want someone telling me what I’m telling you right now. Everything is going to work out, and everything’s going to be alright. I promise.

Just breathe... deep breaths.

And just know, there are so many people out there fighting for you.

So many people who want the best for you.

So many people who want to see you succeed.

And I know you too, want yourself to succeed.

You’re not alone in this. You never were and you never will be.

You’re worthy of being happy. Keep pushing forward. Don't give up now. You’ll make it. I promise.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
