To The Girl That Wants To Give Up

Keep fighting.

Reach that goal. That dream you have had since you were a little girl in diapers running around your mom's kitchen. Do not give up on yourself. You were made for great triumphs. You can do this!

When we were little we all had dreams–we still do. Some were simple like learning how to climb that rock wall at school. Some were imaginary, like learning to fly, or be invisible. But the point is we dreamed. And we should never stop. Dreams and goals keep us working hard. They keep our minds and bodies energized and motivated. So go ahead. Dream that dream. Work hard. Reach your dream. Be who you want to be and obtain what you want to obtain. Because no one can do it for you.

But, no matter what you do, do not ever give up on yourself or your dream. It doesn't matter how many people tell you that you can not do it, that you are too big or too small, that you do not have the courage or the might that it takes, that you are not strong enough or you are not smart enough. Do not listen to them! No one should pull you down and stop you from your dream. Even if your dream takes you twenty years to achieve, do it! Do it for yourself. If for no other reason but to prove those people wrong. You can do it! It is important that you do not give up on yourself because that, my friend, would be a mistake.

I know that you sometimes feel as if your dream will never be reached. You can not see the light at the end of the tunnel. But it is there. You are so close. Do not give up. Do not leave the stage in the middle of your song. This is your fight, your life, your one chance at being anything you want to be. And there must be something that you want. There must be some dream that you want to achieve. Some glass ceiling you want to break through. Do not let the voices on the outside or the anxiety on the inside dampen the sound of your dream. Your life.

I know that you are fighting what seems like an impossible fight to win, but you can. I believe in you. I know you can do it. I have seen the determination in your eyes before and I long for you to see it too. I wish you could see the strength in you that i can see. You fight a battle that no one else can fight, it is unique in its silence and its overwhelming darkness. But you can do it! You can win!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
