"Toxic people will pollute everything around them. Don't hesitate. Fumigate."
-Mandy Hale
There comes a time in all our lives when we sit there and think to ourselves, “I’m growing up, and that means it’s time that I remove all the negativity from my life.” How many of you have followed through on this thought? I know I have been extremely hesitant and that most of you are, too. For me, I woke up one morning and realized that I was happy—but had to think about who and what was the cause? Am I getting back what I am dishing out?
It’s time to break free of the unnecessary stress and drama from your life.
Take a second to imagine you’re in a room with everyone who has a place in your life. Look around. Is everyone you want surrounding you? Are they all rooting for you? Do they all love and support you? Do they make you want to be a better person more so than you already are? If you said yes to all these questions, then I am genuinely happy for you. If you said no to even just one of those questions, then here is what I must say to you.
Cut the ties. Walk away. Don’t put up with it any more.
Life is so incredibly short. If you think that you deserve to be treated poorly by anyone in your life, then listen up. You don’t deserve it one bit. How in any way is it okay for you to put everything on pause to be there for someone who would never do the same thing for you in return? Have you ever thought of how much better your life would be if you didn’t stand for it any longer?
People who don't support you shouldn't take up any of your time. Don't let anyone belittle you or make you feel sorry for the way you choose to live your life. The saying that you become who you hang out with is abundantly true. If you choose to hangout around negativity, then you too will become negative. Put a stop to the toxic relationships in your life and start living for yourself.
