You will blossom.

It's just another day for you. Just another day waking up and feeling empty, getting ready for another day of what you're convinced is hell. You're locked up by what other people say and think, you're beginning to believe that you're defined by them.

You walk through the hallways and see the "see something, say something" signs and do nothing but roll your eyes as your peers see everything, yet you still feel completely helpless.

You scroll through text messages, screenshots, maybe even social media posts with you as the laughing stock. You think they're entertained by your weaknesses and flaws.

Everything is piling up on top of each other, one by one, it never seems to end and the hope is being drained out of you by the second. You feel as you're about to explode, you can't take it anymore.

Here's one thing for certain.

This is temporary. It is a season in which you feel that nothing is blooming. But right around the corner is spring and you are about to beautifully blossom.

People may try to knock you off your feet, change who you are and who you will become. They will never get in the way of the Lord's plan for you, that is for sure. But when they try to stomp you down, instead, put your roots down, grow, and bloom. For your beauty, your worth and how loved you are will never change. You don't have to give up. You can do this.

Please call the suicide prevention lifeline if you need help. It is free and there to help you through it.

"There is a time for everything, a time to every purpose under the heaven...He has made everything beautiful in its time." - Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
