I remember a feeling I had three years ago. I was sitting in a crowded high school gymnasium on a warm Friday in late June, staring at the next four years of my life completely unsure of what was going to come next. In what felt like a blink of an eye, I am about to be a senior again, this time in college. It is unbelievable to know that by this time next year, I will be a college graduate. Here I am about to begin another fall semester. This time, it won't be like the others. This time, it is going to be the last first fall semester of my college career. I am about to have an entire year filled with lasts, and I intend on making each of my lasts meaningful and memorable.
To my Fall-Semester self, get ready for an incredible year. Remember to take each day as it comes, and to take the time appreciate the little moments that will turn into cherished memories. Do not rush time, enjoy every minute of the last year as an undergrad. Make sure to continue to work hard (senioritis is only acceptable in high school).
Take all the time you can find to be with your friends, it won't be as easy to see them once out in the real world. Have fun, be spontaneous, take risks, have adventures.
Take the time to thank the people that have been there for you throughout this journey. Show the people you care for that you appreciate them.
Be positive when planning for the future. Use this time to create a new path to start on when this chapter comes to an end.
And over-all, make this year something to remember.
