Wow, look at this latest handsome college grad!

I can't begin to explain how happy I am for you. You trucked through this year like a champ. You have always been a scholarly student, amazing me with your hard work and dedication.

This year, homework was your middle name. I may have made fun of you for it a couple times, but we all know the hard work does pay off in the end. You literally pushed through horrible group projects and tiresome presentations. Through all of this, you always managed to smile.

I have known you for two years, and we have been dating for a year and a half. During this amazing time, you have never given up on anything. From when we met, I knew you were strongwilled and you had a good head on your shoulders. I can say the same two years later! You haven't changed.

But you have grown so much during this time as well. You have come so far. You're very mature and you mean business. You take all criticism and learn from it. You do so well at your job you love as tech director, and you cherish it so dearly. You are the face everyone goes to for help. You're such a good person.

I want you to know that your future is bright. No matter what comes your way, you will overcome it every single time. Don't get discouraged so easily. Think positively, always. You tell me these things constantly, so I am going to be your motivator, just like you motivate me.

I am very excited for what's to come. I'll miss you next year by my side, but I know you won't be too far away. You'll be working and building on your career and future, and I will be doing the same. When I watch you walk across that stage, I will be cheering you on, like I always have.

Everything you have done has been worth it. You have made so many memories. Cherish them and remember them. It may be sad to leave this home, but you have happy things to look back on. Rowan gave you a great four years.

I will never stop loving you, and I will never stop being proud of you. You surprise me every single day, and you always know how to find the light in things, even when darkness is all that lingers and things get tough.

Lots of tears as you walk across that stage, but through it all, there will be lots of smiling, too. No words can describe how lucky I am to be yours, Mr. Smarty Pants.

I love you, and I am so proud of you.

Congratulations, grad! Rowan University Class of 2018.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
