Having moved around more times than I can count on two hands, stability has been a gift. I am often unappreciative of the stability I have in my life now, and I owe the majority to my friends. I have been blessed beyond measure with wonderful friends in my life. I may not have a "big group" of girls like most do, but I have a handful of loving, supportive, drop-anything-for-you ladies and I could not be more thankful. Furthermore, I got lucky having almost all but two of my go-to girls still living in the same town as me. However, this summer, two of my best friends went away to school, and this is for them.
To my friends that went away to school:
First and foremost, thank you both. The two of you have brought each of your own unique qualities into my life and I am grateful I got the opportunity to "grow up" with each of you for a little while. In each of your own ways, you have helped me through some of the toughest times I have experienced in life, and I can honestly say I do not know where I would be if I didn't have the two of you supporting me.
I know that each of you possess wonderful qualities, dreams and ambition. I cannot wait to see where each of your journeys take you. While I am still in good old K-town, and Milledgeville and Lexington both seem to be worlds away, I'm still cheering you guys on and I know you're doing the same for me. While I don't get the opportunity to see or talk you everyday, I want you both to know I am always on your side and always ready to take on the next adventure, whether we are together or separated.
It makes me so happy seeing that both of you are happy in your new lives, and even happier knowing that you guys will both be coming back to me as Thanksgiving draws nearer. I have our friends here at home, but I still have you two. Seeing your lives progress and move toward your ultimate futures, I am ecstatic knowing you have both found your place and your new people.
We know life throws curve-balls all the time. When life gets crazy, people tend to drift apart and I just want you both to know that I am always here. I am always on your side. Above all, I just want you guys to be happy. I'm lucky to have my ladies here, and just as lucky to watch two of my best start the next chapter of their lives at their respective schools. I am grateful for the support of good girlfriends that is very hard to find, and last but not least, I am excited to see where this life takes us all.
Love you both and I'll see you soon.
Love,
Kait
