(Inspired by Hamlet's soliloquy in "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare )
To geek or not to geek -- that is the question:
Whether 'tis better to discuss Star Wars
And revel in its mythology and storytelling
Or to rebel against the pressures of the indifferent
And therefore die in their arms of condescension
Nothing comes to mind
That could make me happier
When my dreams are littered with celluloid images of
Darth Vader fighting the rebel alliance
The Godfather making someone an offer he cannot refuse
Dom Cobb performing Inception on an oblivious target
These moments inspire and empower me
To ignore the ones who patronize and snoot about
I truly see critics crumble down before me in the future
While they pathetically try to shout their critiques
At me, a man who dusts off these words
Like an arbitrary bee that lands on my shoulder
It definitely will not last long there
Let that ignorant bee, that ignorant critic
Grunt and pout of self-failure and self-defeat
This love, this passion will not last a few years
But a lifetime
'Tis is not a drifting phase of my existence
It is my life, my career, my future
But a nagging problem clouds my mind
A problem that must be resolved quickly
How will I leave my legacy to my future sons and daughters?
Should I teach it before I die?
As I regale the naïve with my everlasting knowledge
This wisdom will carry on with the next generation
After I perish and meet the holy creator
