Amidst a large amount of talk about the impeachment of Donald Trump this week, Hillary Clinton has come forward to even more so proclaim her disdain for Trump and to let all of us Americans that she is with us. While the sentiment is appreciated from the woman who gained the popular vote and by all accounts would have become president had the electoral college not been in place, this is hardly the time to start trying to convince us you're one of us again. It didn't work last time, it's not going to work this time and you should work on creating a lasting legacy otherwise. The whole reason that Donald Trump was elected was because people didn't want Hillary to be president, so are we going to chance the same fate in order to give Hillary a third chance?

The sad truth is, we really shouldn't. DNC, stop backing Hillary and start looking at the bigger picture. The Democratic party itself needs to take this time to clean up the issues it's been avoiding for decades. In order to do that, they have to come to terms with the fact that Hillary is not the woman to win. We can't risk losing another election to Trump if he isn't impeached, if he is we really can't risk losing another election to Pence, or Ryan, or whoever may be actually in charge after the dust settles. Democrats need someone completely new who emcompasses a lot of ideas that aren't just what we as Americans want to hear. We don't want pandering, we want experience that has gotten people results. After one hundred days of a Trump presidency, the DNC is not even remotely inching away from Hillary as a nomination for next term. It's going to fail time and time again. As much as Hillary wants to be President, she just isn't the one we need. I'm not saying we should focus on backing Bernie Sanders (that'd be cool but I don't think that's something he would want us to do) but, anyone else? Really, anyone.

Hillary Clinton has had a good political run, and it would be ignorant to say she isn't going to be looked back upon as a historical figure already. So, please DNC for the sake of our future generations we beg you to please stop pushing Hillary on us. We want someone new, preferably someone who wins the nomination fair and square. I believe the country can be ready for our first woman president but, it has to be one people can actually favor. We are trying to fix the political climate and we won't be able to do that if we have the same race as last time.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
