February 12 was when the sequel for "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" came out. Besides the first movie, the book series has two more books.
The sequel was pretty hyped up the minute the trailer was released. We all wanted to see Noah Centineo on our screens again. Now, it was great to see him and Lara Condor, but the movie wasn't all that, in my opinion.
I thought the movie was a bit rushed and didn't focus on that many important details. Now, I understand it's a movie and you can't fit everything in it, but there are just some things you should add that help the story make sense.
I am so happy they picked Jordan Fisher to play John Ambrose Mcclaren. Jordan Fisher really nailed the role and made all of us forget about Peter Kavinsky for a second. As mentioned in my first article about the sequel, I did say Peter Kavinsky might not be the fan-favorite after they saw this movie.
Based on all the tweets I've seen, I think I was right.
I mean, come on. Who would be happy when they realized the real reason why Peter was in the hot tub in the first place?
Besides finding out that secret, there were just some really cringe scenes. When Lara and Peter broke up, it was sad, especially since they promised to never break each other's hearts. But when Lara started singing along to the song, it became a bit cringy.
Now, we did have a few cringe scenes, but we did have some really great scenes. I really liked the scene when Gen and Lara Jean made up. It was nice to see their feud end.
I also really enjoyed the clubhouse scene. It made me a little sad seeing how jealous Peter was and how clueless John Ambrose was.
Overall, I think this movie was good, but it wasn't what I expected. I hope the third movie has the details it needs. I can't complain about seeing Peter Kavinsky and John Ambrose on my screen, though.
I'm excited to see what they do with "Always and Forever, Lara Jean."
