We've all heard about how TJ Maxx has reopened its online stores, but you'll probably be shocked to hear that they are reopening their physical stores, too. Marshalls and HomeGoods are also reopening. Yep, you heard me right.
According to Fox News, several stores such as TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods are planning on opening all of their stores nationwide starting in June. That means that no matter what state you live in, you will see their stores reopened. This includes 1,600 stores nationwide.
Previously, TJ Maxx had reopened its online stores along with only select stores in certain states.
If you were like me who tried to use their online site, you probably encountered numerous issues such as the site crashing, being overwhelmed by too many people using the site, or finding several items that were out of stock. But now, we no longer have to worry about using the online site since they're opening all of their in-person locations.
In addition, Marshalls is also reopening all of their stores! If you're like me and absolutely love Marshalls, then you're probably as overjoyed as I am right now. Marshalls has so many clothes, and just like when TJ Maxx closed, it was tough news to hear for any shopper. But now that they're reopening, we will all have a hard time not spending all of the money in our bank accounts.
However, there is one downside to going to the in-person stores right now.
Because of the outbreak, all of the stores are still required to maintain safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This means that there are only a certain amount of people allowed in the store, and if the store has reached its limited capacity, you will be required to wait outside in a line. That means you can expect long lines outside the store.
I've actually already seen people lined up at TJ Maxx to shop in stores as soon they opened up their stores in the state that I currently live in. I should warn you if you're wanting to shop at TJ Maxx in person, you need to go early because the lines can be extremely long.
The store that I saw had a line going out into the parking lot with people waiting to shop in the store.
But this was during lunch hour, so if you're planning on shopping, try to get there in the morning or even when they first open.
But still, as with any shopper, we can finally rejoice being able to shop at the stores that we know and love. I don't know about you, but I've really missed the in-store experience of shopping, especially at places such as TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods.
Online shopping may be convenient, but it just doesn't give you the same amazing experience that you get from shopping in person.
Plus with most of the online sites crashing and burning with so many shoppers having to shop online, it will be nice to no longer need to worry about it. Now the only thing we'll have to worry about is whether our bank account will be able to survive the next few weeks of compulsive shopping.
Sure, you may not need that decorated pillow or dress, but you definitely deserve it after being self quarantined for the past three to four months!
