If you’re tired of working a desk job, there are plenty of great alternatives that will let you fulfill your passion while earning a living. Some of these jobs don’t require a lot of additional education or training. Here are four exciting careers to consider if a desk job doesn’t seem like the right fit for you.

Personal Fitness Trainer

Working as a personal fitness trainer will give you the opportunity to change people’s lives for the better. You’ll be helping clients lose weight and develop better muscle tone by implementing different workout routines. You can choose to become a staff member at a local gym or work on your own by traveling to clients’ homes. There are many organizations that have certification programs that will help you get all the necessary credentials to work in this position.

Professional DJ

If you enjoy music and vibrant atmospheres, working as a professional disc jockey might be a great career choice for you. You may be hired to work in a nightclub or play music at events such as weddings and birthday parties. It’s important that you have a full selection of tunes covering many genres so that you can play the most appropriate music depending on each crowd. You should also learn about the latest DJ equipment and how to properly operate each piece before you start working.

Hairstylist

You’ll help people look and feel more beautiful by crafting the perfect hairstyles when you work as a hairstylist. Whether you choose to work in a barbershop or an upscale salon, there are numerous career options in this field. You’ll also be working in one of the most recession-proof industries that can give you financial stability even during tough economic times. You’ll need to complete a beauty school program and possibly attend additional training courses to work as a hairstylist.

Security Guard

Companies like Trident Security or a similar business can put you on a much more exciting career track than a desk job. As a security guard, you’ll be responsible for making sure that business and residential properties stay safeguarded against burglars and other dangerous trespassers. Conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance systems and checking the IDs of visitors may be some of your main duties. Most security guard training programs don’t take a long time to complete and can help match you with employers who need to fill positions.

Working at a desk job isn’t the only respectable way to earn a living, and you can enter a more fulfilling career field by working in one of these other jobs. In addition to working in a more fulfilling position, you’ll have the chance to make a positive contribution to society by pursuing one of these careers.

So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
