Happy fall everyone! I hope that you all have had a great start to this fresh new season! My allergies, as well as a small cold, welcomed me back this past week. Today, I’ll be sharing a couple of my tips and tricks with you guys that prepare me for the colder months. Enjoy!
Wash your hands!
I know, I know… I sound like your mom saying this, but it really is important! As most of us probably know, germs spread the most by contact with our skin. Imagine with me will you? Every time you sneeze or cough, your mucus/spit/air is this bright red color. If you cough or sneeze in the direction of someone else, you get all of that icky red all over them. Well, we eliminate that by coughing into our elbows (which is really effective) or blocking it with our hands. Now your hands are that color! We may not think of it, but we touch so many surfaces throughout the day. Door knobs, handles, other people, etc. Now think of everything you touching getting that red color from you cough or sneeze all over it. This is exactly how germs are spread, and we can help prevent that by washing our hands! I know we may not always have a sink at our disposal, but hand sanitizer is a great thing to carry around. Trust me, it actually works!
Vitamin C
One of the many functions of Vitamin C is to help build up your immune system. Vitamin C is found in a lot of fruits and vegetables, like oranges, but for those of you who do not like eating your fruits and veggies I may have a solution for you!
Vitamin C drops
These little guys look just like cough drops, but instead of helping out a cough and sore throat they are jam packed with Vitamin C. You can get a bag of them pretty cheap at Walmart.
Stay healthy everyone!
