Tips To Survive Spring Break

Spring break is coming and I'm not sure that any of us are fully prepared. Some people are doing good things in their lives like going on mission trips, but if you are going on a less inspirational trip, here are some tips that will help you survive. Whether you are spending the week in Gulf Shores, Cabo or Colorado, you'll feel much better if you follow these simple rules.

1. Nap

Let's be honest, your living situation probably isn't ideal and you won't be getting a lot of sleep. You might have FOMO, but napping is important and I promise you won't miss too much.

2. Eat

Eating three meals a day might be a challenge, but your body needs food. Eat a good breakfast every morning and try not to eat junk food all the time. Also, Easy Mac and Cup Noodles will be the easiest thing to make and will keep you alive when you need food.

3. Drink

I know you might think that beer is kind of like water, but it isn't. Drink lots of water during the week. Buy gallons of water and rehydrate with Gatorade.

4. Don't do anything your parents would disown you for.

I know it is spring break and you might not make the best decisions, but don't end up in jail or the hospital because your parents might never forgive you.

5. Don't do anything your sorority would disown you for.

Your sorority is terrified of spring break because they don't want you doing dumb things that make everyone else look bad. Be smart, especially when wearing your letters.

6. Make ridiculous memories that you will remember for the rest of your life- You only get four Spring Breaks. Make them count. You will never forget watching a guy get his head shaved or finding random boys napping in your bed.

Thank God that you only have Spring Break once a year because your body will need that amount of time to recover from the abuse that you put it through.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
