Okay, so now that Thanksgiving is over, we can all relax, right? Well, I had a full holiday with tons of food, drinks and debates. I was a Black Friday worker this year and also an insomniac. I think what can be said is that we all have stories to share about our recent holiday traditions, so here's a few tips on how to survive the holidays with your family.
1. Don't talk about relationships
I have a boyfriend of almost two years, so I don't exactly have to worry about them picking on me about when I am going to get a boyfriend and who it's gonna be. Not exactly a hot topic in my family, but he's grown to be just as much a part of my family as I am of his.
2. Don't ask WHEN certain people are going to get in relationships
Nothing worse than when your aunt asks you where your boyfriend is and where to find him
3. Don't talk about grades
Well, it's close to finals and the last thing we want to think and talk about is what is happening in our classes
4. Don't talk about the election
We all have different views on how it turned out, but what really grinds my gears is when someone constantly relates everything back to how something turned out
5. Keep small talk between each other
Realizing that some people will ask you about many things but keep in mind, it's only small talk and you get to talk about the things YOU care about
p.s. HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND GOOD LUCK!!
