Struggling what to post on instagram? Is your feed too dry? Not getting enough likes or comments? Don't worry, follow these tips to getting the best aesthetic pictures

1. Food & Drinks

Taking pictures of your food or drink will boost your interaction with your followers. Who doesn't love scrolling through pictures of food? There's no doubt that people will love looking at what you eat.. maybe they'll even jealous. Drinks make a great aesthetic to any scenery. Just pick a spot like outdoors or near string lights to capture the hipster look.

2. First, let me take a selfie.

Selfies are all about that angle. Make sure you hold your phone above your chin. Don't forget about lighting. Lighting is very crucial when it comes to taking selfies. You don't want the picture to turn out too dark or too dark. Natural lighting is the best so outdoors are great place to take selfies. If you are trying to take one indoors, stand near facing the window to capture that lighting. Have fun with it! Show the world who you really are!

3. Golden hour: #goals

It's true what they say, when the sun is setting or rising it the perfect time to take pictures. Taking group pictures or selfies are perfect during this time because it makes your skin glow and that would be an amazing picture to post. You won't have to get through the pain of editing the pictures because they are already perfect. So make your next post, leaving your followers wishing they look as good as you.

4. HDR is a NO

It is hard to get the hang of HDR, high dynamic range, and therefore can let a picture look abnormal or overdone. HDR focused too much on surroundings and not the main perspective of the picture. Therefore it is important to capture many photos of the same thing so you can choose the best one. Change up the angle, perspective, and lighting. Also keep in mind, that simple is better when taking insta-worthy pictures.

5. Stand out and be bold

Create a different style for your Instagram feed than other people. Being unique is what's gonna make you stand out and attract more people to be active on your feed. When followers look at your page, you want them to know what content you post and will be posting in the future. Have an idea of your feed entirely instead of each individual post. Remember just be your original self and people will love that.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
