I have heard countless times that "timing is everything" or "this is not the right time" or "just be patient and trust in God's timing." All of these sayings are so overused. However, I have come to realize that they, even though they are overused, hold so much truth. Just because I think that the timing is right, does not mean that the timing is right according to God's plan.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future.'"
How great is it to know that the Creator of the world has a plan individually for me? That He has a plan individually for you? How great is that! God's timing is everything.
Now, this is not always an easy thing to remember when life gets tough and you are facing a trial, whether it is, not getting the job you wanted, or passing an exam, or whatever it may be. Even though it is not always easy to remember to trust in His perfect timing, we should always remember that God has our best interest at heart. Maybe we did not get that great job because He had an even better one laid out for us. Maybe we did not pass our test because He wants to teach us a lesson in this time, and we'll get it the next go around.
James 1:2-4 says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sister, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
Just as James says, we should consider our trials a joy, because it leads to perseverance and we should consider God's impeccable timing a joy! He has a plan for my life and your life. We should trust in that perfect plan that has been individually created for each of us in His unique timing!
Just because you didn't get the perfect job, or pass your exam, or whatever trial you are facing, remember that God has a plan. Trust in His timing. After all, His timing is everything.
