All The Times 'Jersey Shore' Described Your Underclassman Years Of College

This past week marks the six-year anniversary of our all-time favorite reality television show, 'Jersey Shore.' Known for its interesting cast, heavy drinking, fighting and lots of drama, this show epitomizes a #throwback to our late high school/early college years. Although the show gave New Jersey a bad reputation (it's really not like that...for the most part), there's one positive thing the "Jersey Shore" did give: a pretty accurate description of most students' freshman or sophomore years in college. For many of us, college served as an introduction to independence and alcohol, so what better throwback this week than to Snooki and the Situation as we remember the good times of being underclassmen?

Of course you had to bring your favorite stuffed animal with you to school.

Introducing yourself to random girls on the freshman Facebook page to try and find the perfect roommate.

Instead, you end up getting stuck with a random roommate.

Walking in on move-in day and realizing your roommate isn't completely awful.

In fact, you become instant BFFs.

You have similar taste in clothes...

...and music...

...and you're already planning your Halloween costume.

Having a bad day? Your roommate has the solution.

They're more than ready to go out the first weekend of classes with you.

Making your entrance into your first college party like...

Getting those "Oh God, freshman" looks from the upperclassmen.

Dancing a lot...maybe a little too much.

Also, having a little too much fun

Running back to the comfort of your Twin XL bed at the end of the night.

...with that week-old Chinese food that was in the fridge.

Instantly regretting every decision you made last night when you wake up in the morning.

You find yourself always calling home to complain about your communal bathroom.

Your reaction when your mom asks you how classes are going...

Realizing that final exams are next week.

Which means the semester is almost over.

But it's OK, because there's still a few more years left to go.

OK, maybe some things haven't changed after all!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
