The opening ceremony represents the official commencement of the Olympic Games. It's when all the countries come together and celebrate their success for coming so far in their athletic careers. The olympics show athletic strength in each individual and how far they are willing to go in order to achieve their goals and dreams.
This year Ralph Lauren designed the 2016 Olympic Uniforms. Throughout the years the uniforms for the olympic games have always been very sophisticated. Below is a timeline of the olympic opening ceremony uniforms. Below is the 1992 Winter Olympics, all of them wearing the same themed olympic scarf.
Standing out was the theme for the 1996 Olympics.
Now instead of the red coats seen in 1996, blue coats were worn in the 1998 Winter Olympics, for their opening ceremony in Nagano, Japan.

Probably one of my favorite uniforms is the 2010 Olympics.

Also one of my favorites is the 2014 Winter Olympics uniforms.
Not one of my favorites is this year's Olympic Uniforms.
