To all my summer-goers, how goes it? Most of us had a solid plan for this summer and making it the best one yet! How is it going for you? Have you gotten complacent and let the time go by as you get up and go to your summer job, wishing for the weekend? Or are you keeping the promise to yourself and making it a point to check things off your bucket list? Now, it's just about August, but you still have a few weeks before classes begin to pick back up!
Pull out that summer bucket list you made or make one if you haven't already and do the things that will help with your self-care. Do you need a beach day with your friends? How about a coffee date with your journal and Jesus? Maybe a movie night with all your girls? Whatever it is, big or small, set a date and do it! Summer may be almost over, but would you rather spend the last days wishing for it to never end or making it one to remember with the people and things around you?
It is not too late to make today a good day. I challenge you to write a few things that you have wanted to do this summer that you haven't and start on it! Whether it's a day in your backyard tanning or a weekend road trip to a different city, find the time and do it.
A few good memories of Summer 2019 is better than none and there's still time to do it and enjoy yourself. I promise you that if you write it down and make it a point to do it, experience it, and enjoy it, those memories will be the ones you remember most from this summer.
A few more ideas that don't require a lot of work or planning could be roasting marshmallows and making smores while watching a movie, binge-watching your favorite show, playing board games or doing puzzles with your friends. There are endless possibilities for small, yet fun summer activities. So, do yourself a favor, check-in with your summer bucket list and check-out with your worries.
