One of my favorite things about summer is listening to music that just puts you in a great mood. To me, there is nothing better than chilling on the beach listening to some country music or riding in the car with the windows down, screaming songs at the top of your lungs with your besties. Spring semester is almost over, so to get yourself ready for summer, I have made a list of 9 throwback songs that need to be on your ultimate summer playlist.

1. "Party In The USA" by Miley Cyrus

This classic song always gets me in the mood for summer, especially when I'm singing it at the top of my lungs with the windows down.

2. "Follow Me" by Uncle Kracker

This song literally just screams good vibes, and makes me feel like everything really will be alright. The perfect mix of happy and chill vibes.

3. "Toes" by Zac Brown Band

If you're hanging out on the beach, you better be playing this song. Even as I am sitting in my dorm room writing this, listening to this song makes me daydream about how soon I will be at the beach and how ready I am for summer to get here!

4. "Life Is A Highway" by Tom Cochrane

Like many of the songs on this "playlist", this song also radiates good vibes. Playing this song always makes me think about how good life is, and to me, it screams a summer with no worries.

5. "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock

This might be one of, if not the ultimate summer songs! It makes me feel like summer will last forever, and all the good memories that come with it will too. Playing this as you prepare for your spring semester to be over will certainly put you in the summer spirit.

6. "Roller Coaster" by Luke Bryan

Not everyone is a fan of country music, but if you are, this song is sure to make you wish you were spending a summer week at the beach with Luke Bryan.

7. "Riptide" by Vance Joy

Vance Joy is one of my favorite artists, and this song just puts me in a chill and happy mood. Summer is all about leaving your worries behind, and that's exactly how this song makes me feel.

8. "Cheerleader" by OMI

Although I feel like I've been brainwashed from the amount of times I've heard this song, listening to it really does make me feel like I'm back to summer 2015. If you're a fan, put it on your playlist!

9. "If I Lose Myself" by Alesso vs. OneRepublic

Unlike some other songs on this playlist, "If I Lose Myself" really puts me in the summer party mood. If you're looking for a song to get you pumped for a night out, definitely add this to your playlist!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
