Scripture is sacred. Scripture is powerful. It is a divinely inspired text containing the word of God and the life of his Son, Jesus. Within the Scriptures, we can find answers to our doubts, fears, and worries.

At times, life can get difficult and break us down, but when we are broken, tired, and hopeless, Christ is there extending his hand to pick us up. God is always there to guide us in our best times and in our worst times, and Scripture is rife with verses that show his presence.

When you are stressed:
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." -Isaiah 43:2

When you are worried:
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." -Joshua 1:9

When you have doubts:
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." -Deuteronomy 31:6

Next time you feel the weight of your life bringing you down, open up Scripture. You will be surprised how much it can teach you and inspire you. It will lift the cross from your shoulders and release you from the darkness, so that you may see the light of Christ right there in the palm of your hand.
