7 Thoughts You Have While Sick In Bed
Edu Lauton

We have all been sick at some time in our life, and it is rough. Spending full days in your bed sounded more appealing when you were not running a 103-degree fever. Here are seven thoughts you have while being sick in bed.

1. Why me?!

You did everything you could to remain healthy, but it was just not enough, and you do not understand why you have to deal with this nasty sickness. Everything hurts, and you are wandering through your friends Instagram pictures being jealous of their health. It's not fair to you, and it is absolutely awful.

2. When will this misery end?!

You don't know what caused your sickness so why not blame karma. Your sickness seems to have been going on for forever although it has only been a few days. You are over it and just want to get back to your everyday life.

3. Why do I have zero texts from my friends?!

You thought your friends were great until you got sick. You expected to wake up to a couple texts from your best friends checking on you, but that is not the case. You at least deserve some sympathy to help get you through your sickness!

4. How am I going to get the energy to take care of myself?

Since becoming ill, your diet has consisted of saltine crackers and whatever else you can find with minimal effort. You can barely get out of bed, but you are somehow expected to nurse yourself back to health. This is the absolute worst, especially if you were hoping a friend would come take care of you.

5. What day is it?!

Realizing that you have to go back to school or work the following day is the worst when you are sick. All you want is to recover totally and then go back, but you were not so lucky. Going back on a Monday while sick is quite possibly the worst experience.

6. I feel fine!

Nope, you are not fine! You say it to every person you come in contact with, but you do not mean it in the slightest. You obviously are not fine, but you feel too awful to be honest with them.

7. No, I will not be productive!

Although you are sick, life goes on, and it makes being sick even worse. You may not be able to escape important tasks, but you refuse to do them. You get annoyed if you get even an email from your coworkers, because you deserve your sick day. You are incapable of productivity, but nobody seems to understand!

Have you had any of these thoughts while having a sick day?

If you have, leave a comment of which one below!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
