The Mental And Emotional Stages Of Writing An Odyssey Article

If you're reading this, you're reading an Odyssey article. This is a site where college students all over the country write articles for the general public. These articles can range from serious news to hilarious lists. People who don't write for Odyssey don't fully understand what it takes to actually write a good article. While writing, you're hoping to attract all kinds of people and get the most shares and views. It's also a great resume builder and a chance to write literally anything you want. Sometimes, writing isn't an easy process.

Here are some thoughts that run throw my head while writing an Odyssey article.

What the heck am I going to write about this week?

Maybe watching Netflix for a couple hours will help me think of an idea...

Is my introduction long enough?

I hope nobody gets offended.

Why do my pictures uncenter EVERY TIME I EDIT MY ARTICLE?!

I have so many photos saved on my laptop just for articles.

Does any of this even make sense?

Why don't any pictures out there seem to fit the required size for cover photos?!

Well, I suppose I'll just use a piece of my article for the subtitle.

Picking a slug is so simple, I love it.

I will preview my article, but I'm not sure if it's actually going to look like that.

I have absolutely no idea what to put for a social network brief so sorry in advance for my random sentence.

Man, I hope this goes viral.

Real life: I do enjoy writing on Odyssey. It can be hard at times, but it's totally worth seeing your work published and people reading it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
