June 17, 2016 was the day that so many young adults have been waiting for. It was not just another Friday or chance to party; no this was a day 13 years in the making. On June 17, we were once again reunited with Dory, Marlin and Nemo and it was glorious! 13 years after Marlin searched every inch of the ocean for his beloved son, Dory went missing.
Like any other college student, my friends and I went to see "Finding Dory" opening day as soon as we could. Seeing a beloved sequel 13 years later creates some interesting thoughts, so here are some ideas that crossed my mind when watching the movie.
1. I'm SO excited!
2.Get out of my way kid! I've done my waiting for this movie! 13 years of it!
3. Oh my God, I can't believe I'm finally seeing this. Dory, it's been too long!
4. Ugh, why so many commercials?
5. Ooooo that movie looks cute.
6. Yup, definitely seeing that.
7. *gasps* The screen went black! That must mean...another commercial. Great.
8. PIXAR SHORT TIME.
9. Why is Pixar so good?
10. This is so cute.
11. IT'S FINALLY STARTING. No one say a word.
12. Pixar makes the ocean looks so beautiful.
13. I want to go to the ocean.
14. NOSTALGIA.
15. Awwwww, Dory is so cute.
16. "Hello, I'm Dory and I suffer from short term memory loss."
17. Just keep swimmin', just keep swimmin, swimmin', swimming.
18. Pixar, you have destroyed and abused my heart within the first two minutes.
19. Please let her find her parents.
20. FIN. NOGGIN. DUUUUDDEEE.
21. I miss my childhood.
22. Dory is my spirirt animal.
23. Or maybe Marlin.
24. Nope, Dory forever.
25. Don't touch the butt. You learned that the first time!
26. Awwww, Dory is so cute.
27. DId I already say that? Sorry, I suffer from short term memory loss.
28. Now I need to look up echolocation.
29. Does an octopus really have three hearts?
30. Time to whip away my tears with my popcorn napkin and go hug my family.
Needless to say, "Finding Dory" was amazing and most definitely lived up to its prequel. The movie was a perfect mix of new adventures and throwbacks to the very first swim across the ocean. Now go see this movie for yourself and make sure you wait until the end of the credits (hint, hint).
