Thoughts I have While Reading a Good Book:

Reading is one of the things I've been doing since middle school, and I've never stopped just because high school ended. I read even to this day, and it's an escape. Reading a good book is an immersive experience and here are my thoughts during it.

  • This will be a good book to read since I’ve been waiting forever for it to come out…
  • Heck yeah, and it’s about magic and romance my favorite.
  • Okay…definitely like the main character now, and she sounds like me…
  • Yep, accidentally run into the school bully and the crush just like my luck.
  • I love her powers; it’s awesome.
  • I love hearing the back story of where she came from.
  • Really? You are really going to tick me off just get on with it already…
  • Please stop whining and admit it that she has power over you.
  • Yep, people like her remind me why high school sucks…
  • So everyone is in on it?
  • Really? I didn’t see that coming…
  • Finally they kiss and admit they have feelings together.
  • Great a few pages later She got in the way again…
  • Nope, didn’t see that one coming…
  • Didn’t see that one either…
  • Must keep reading eating can wait…
  • Going to the bathroom can wait just one more chapter…
  • Who is interrupting me reading this book?
  • Why are those idiots calling me?
  • Nope, I’d rather read…
  • Can you please pick him up so I can review the book I’ve been wanting to read?
  • I just want to read go away people.
  • Yep, they finally find the solution…
  • Time for the final battle and save the person….
  • Wait it’s over already?
  • You mean I have to get back to reality?
  • Aww….
  • I can’t believe the book is over….
  • Time to find another one to read, and I always leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
