Thoughts From Super Bowl 50

1. The commentators started off with some silly, pointless banter that distracted from the competition about to ensue.

2. It was cool seeing the previous Super Bowl MVP’s and Brady was noticeably studlier than the rest, wearing his sunglasses throughout the ceremony.

3. Lady Gaga killed the national anthem; her voice is much better than a lot of people realize. Her outfit, which many people will say made her look like a Hunger Games character, was super Patriotic and very on point for the national anthem.

4. There was a huge and very loud rush for the snacks during each commercial break, gotta fill up while we have the chance.

5. First touchdown: So heartbreaking for Cam Newton to get sacked with such a terrible result.

6. Sacking Cam Newton is becoming a pattern here.

7. Shock Top’s commercial with T.J. Miller of "Silicon Valley" was the funniest yet, solid Super Bowl commercial, a good way to offset the creepiness of the Doritos commercial featuring a fetus reaching around inside the womb in an attempt to grab some chips.

8. With 11 minutes left in the second quarter, Peyton Manning still had not seen a lot of time on the field.

9. Panthers interception! Still in the game!

10. Shock Top still had the best commercial thus far.

11. It was kind of a bummer to have such cool lighting, especially the kaleidoscope feature on top of the stage, when it was still light outside, because nothing seemed as vivid.

12. It was fun to see how much fun Chris Martin was having onstage.

13. The marching bands’ and orchestras’ boldly colorful costumes were really working with the whole vibe of the set. Everything was super, cool everybody looked like they had fun.

14. Bruno Mars and his crew are squad goals… Hold on, Beyonce and her girls just straight up took over the field.

15. Beyonce could have spoken gibberish and no one would have cared.

16. Beyonce fell but handled it beautifully.

17. Beyonce and Bruno Mars were the guests? Did anyone tell them that?

18. There were no surprises and it was kind of short, but it the half time show was bright and it looked like fun, it had a very feel-good, loving vibe going on.

19. Early in the second half, Brown, on the Panthers, made the catch of the game. It’s interesting how the ball had already been in the air for a while before he even looked for it.

20. The Heinz commercial with the dachshunds in hotdog suits is one for the ages, along with the sheep singing Queen. Featuring cute animals is always a good direction to take a commercial in.

21. T-Mobile and Drake made a surprisingly good pairing during their commercial.

22. Helen Miren spoke the truth about drunk driving in the Budweiser commercial.

23. Cam Newton kept getting sacked. Where was his defense?

24. So. Many. Fumbles.

25. As a Pat’s fan, I was disappointed that Manning had one, but was begrudgingly happy as a person that he was able to go out in such a cool way. I am, however, heartbroken for Cam Newton, who just looked so sad.

26. Where were the Budweiser puppies?!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
