As I am typing this, I am only a few days away from my final year of college. These last few years have truly been an unforgettable experience that I'll look back on for years to come. Some people say that college is the best part of someone's life and I have to disagree with that. Everybody lives a different experience and college can be extremely stressful.

I always knew that college would be a learning curve and I knew that I would struggle and I was right. People who don't struggle are extremely lucky. Some people can try their very best but still not do as great as they would have hoped. And that is okay.

We as a society are made to feel like a failure if we don't meet everyone else's standards which is beyond ridiculous.

This year I plan to continue my journey learning as much as I can so I can move on to the real world.

College has its ups and downs but the ride is totally worth it if someone feels like they are prepared and able to attend. I wrote a post a while back saying that not everybody has to attend and that remains true. College is just another way for someone to go through life.

Senior Year is the time that students are expected to prepare for their final send-off out into the world. It is probably the most stressful thing a student will have to worry about. There are a lot of people who have no clue what to do with their lives post-graduation and that is daunting. Students may think there is no hope but that is absolutely not true. Yes, it is indeed harder to get a job than previous generations but we have to stick together and do what we can.

Getting a job will be difficult but we have time. We have the rest of our lives to figure things out.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
