Let's face it, we have all thought these thoughts before. And that's okay because it's not just you. Ask your roommate, best friend, or hallmate. If they tell you no, they are lying.

1. Can I re-wear this shirt?

College is stressful and some times you just don't have time to do laundry. It's okay. If the article of clothing that you want to re-wear does not stink or have stains on it, go for it. I mean there was a guy in one of my classes that wore the same shirt, for FOUR days in a row. It was in August when this happened. Let your nose imagine the smell.

2. Do I really need to go to class today?

If you say you have never thought this. YOU ARE LYING. Adding up your absences and seeing what is scheduled for class today. That is normally the deciding factor. And if a break is coming up, you are for sure not going to class that day.

3. How long can I procrastinate?

This thought comes when there is a break approaching or if it's a class that you just really hate.

4. Why me? What have I done to deserve this?

When you have three papers, four quizzes, and three tests all in the same week.

5. We have an assignment due today?

If you are not an organized person, you know this has happened to you. At least once or twice freshman year. Then you plan your next move. Get up and leave or realized that you forgot before entering that class.

6. I wonder if I can afford the dollar menu?

College = broke. This thought comes espcially when you have not gotten paid from your job yet. Or you spent all of your refund check. The struggle is real on this one.

7. Have I gained weight since freshman year?

Just don't look at your pictures from high school. The freshman fifteen is too real. It's okay, there is just more of you to love now. There is nothing wrong with that. You are beautiful.

8. Why do I do this to myself?

PROCRASTINATE. That's really all that needs to be said. Waiting to complete an assignment that was given three weeks in advance and you wait until 5 pm the day before it's due to start it. Then you are up all night and emotional the next day.

9. How many days is it until the weekend?

And this you realize that it is only MONDAY. It's fine. You can do it. Maybe.

10. I wonder how many days left until I graduate is?

Then you look to see and you are either highly disappointed or really happy. It all depends on when you first have this thought.

11. Do I have to adult today?

There are just some days that you just don't give a care in the world because you really need sleep. All you do is go, go, go. But then you think to yourself, you cannot do this in the real world. It's time to get your crap together, just to make it through the next five hours.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
