"One Tree Hill" has always been on my radar forever but I always put it on the back burner. I recently got the first five seasons on DVD from Facebook.

I recently watched the first episode and “One Tree Hill” is nothing like I thought it was going to be. I didn’t know anything about the show except Chad Michael Murray is in it and I knew the theme song but who doesn’t. But just by watching the first episode, I can tell what all the hype is for. It's a great show, with a great story line with characters that are relatable, and they have amazing quotes.

1. Lucas Scott

Lucas is one of my favorite characters right now, he’s very truthful and reliable, and I believe that everyone needs that type of person in their life. He also ain’t no bitch, he doesn’t back down from a challenge even when everyone is telling him to but he also has a really great heart and cares about the people in his life.

2. Nathan Scott

I don’t like him, and if he keeps acting the way he is in the first episode then I probably never will. Right off the bat, we can see that he’s a privileged rich kid, he steals a school bus with his basketball team and is the one driving but gets away with it while half the team gets suspended. Nathan is rude and has no respect for his father or really anybody in his life, he doesn’t like to show that he has a heart. He says things to his dad that is beyond disrespectful, and no one says anything to him when he says things that he shouldn't. He called Peyton a bitch then says sorry within 30 seconds and she goes with it. He doesn’t understand consequences and probably never will. One thing I can say that's positive about Nathan is that he’s a great basketball player but he’s so conceited about his talent that he's a terrible team player.

3. Haley James

The first time I saw Haley on the screen I was like wow this girl does not stop talking but I also thought she was Lucas’s sister and not his best friend. The second time she was on the screen I realized that she has a great heart and really cares about Lucas and his mom.

4. Peyton Sawyer

Peyton is my girl, this girl is so sarcastic, I love it. She is so rude that her low blows don’t faze her one bit, but her low blows are the truth and she’s only sharing them. I think that Peyton is one of the strongest characters on “One Tree Hill,” she doesn't try to hide who she is even if she is a different "world" then shes suppose to be. And she lets it known that she doesn't need your help or you when she feels like she needs too.

5. Dan Scott

I dislike this character more than I dislike Nathan, but I guess it goes down the family tree and just skips Lucas. The one thing I hate about Dan is that he doesn’t really see Lucas or even Nathan as human beings. First, he treats Nathan like its a dream come true only because he can play basketball, and why not live your dream through your child instead of letting them live there own dream. Second, Dan doesn’t even treat Lucas like he’s alive until he finds out that his dream that he has put down Nathan’s throat might be taken away from him because of Lucas.

6. Whitey Durham

I literally have nothing, I think he is great.

7. Keith Scott

I love this guy. He’s more of a father to Lucas then Dan. I honestly wish that Keith was Lucas’s father instead of Dan.

8. Karen Roe

A very supportive and caring mother. I also think that Karen is one of the strongest characters on the show because of what she’s been through with Dan and how she has overcome that part in her life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
