As my father pulled out of the driveway last Thursday on my way to college my stomach filled with butterflies. Not only was this a new chapter of my life but a fresh start — leaving my friends and family was difficult, but I couldn't be more excited for this adventure August is the beginning of my journey in Charleston, SC. To my parents, I thank you for raising me right and for showing me the ropes for 18 years. You guys prepared me for college in ways others and high school could not.
1. Showing me a truly Christian atmosphere
Thank you for bringing me up in a loving Jesus-filled
2. Raising me with morals and values
Thank you for raising me with morals and values. I'm so happy you showed me what is right and what is wrong. As many people face challenged or temptations in college, when I become faced with those I know how to react in situations and stay true to who I am.
3. Traveling as a kid
Thank you for showing me the world these past 18 years. Learning from other cultures in places like Germany, France, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic has allowed me to relate to others in so many unique ways. I have always been traveling and making friends from different places. With new friends comes the experience of different cultures that have shaped me into who I am today.
