Fifth Harmony's new album, "7/27," has dropped along with all of my priorities and responsibilities as I listen only to these tracks and ignore the rest of the world around me. The album, titled after the day the girls were formed as a group on the hit TV show, "The X Factor," was released last week ahead of their 7/27 tour coming up later this summer. Fifth Harmony could cough for three straight minutes and I'd still buy the track, but from a music perspective, this album is fire. It's rhythmic, unique and has some great collabs with major players such as Ty Dolla $ign and Missy Elliot. Here are just a few thoughts I have in the new 7/27 era:
There's nothing better than listening to "Dope" in the car and vibing along while Lauren swears for three minutes and 33 seconds.
I really wish these tickets went on sale in time for Christmas but on the other hand I'm prepared to lay down my life savings for this tour.
The beat and that crazy techno business in "Scared of Happy" almost broke the speakers in my car because that beat drops like:
Camila's riffs at the end of "Work From Home" are the sound of angels singing from Heaven.
When people hate on Fifth Harmony and claim they only cater to younger kids I just can't help but think of the "Work From Home" music video.
Lauren's raspy thing on "No Way" is heartbreaking and lowkey hot- can I give that girl a hug?!
When someone says I need to take a break from listening to the album or switch to the radio after a two-hour loop in the car, I don't understand.
"Squeeze" is so sad yet so happy and adorable but mostly because of Lauren and Camila.
I need to stop dancing to "I Lied" in the car, too many innocent people have witnessed it on the roads.
Every 5H fan has their favorite girl in the group but like, honestly, how could Lauren not be the one for you?
The fab five are coming to my city in a matter of WEEKS. #blessup
