Prosperity Connection

Before the craze of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, there's the magic of Thanksgiving. Families get together and celebrate each other's company before the craziness of the Christmas season. We eat like we've never had a meal before, and we push ourselves into food comas. It's one of the best times of the year, but there's a lot to think about after we put our forks down.

1. When's dessert?

2. Is it possible for a human to have more than one stomach?

3. I wish I was a cow and had five stomachs so I could eat more.

4. When did this piece of turkey get on my fork?

5. FOOOOOD COOOOOMA!

6. I hope these leftovers are as good as they are now, tomorrow.

7. So glad I wore a dress.

8. Where’s my dog? I need to snuggle.

9. What should I name my food baby?

10. I wonder how big this poop is going to be...

11. It’s time for sweatpants.

12. Should I go in for round 2?

13. I'm going in.

14. I need more mashed potatoes.

15. I need a bed or a couch, something to lay on.

16. Nap time.

17. Okay. Focus, rehydrate and take deep breaths. You need to make room for dessert.

18. Elizabeth. My food baby’s name is Elizabeth.

19. I want to make a bet with myself to eat that whole apple pie.

20. Is it appropriate for me to make a grilled cheese right now?

21. It is totally okay for me to slip my dog some turkey, right?

22. I think instead of small talk between dinner and dessert, there should be another round of food.

23. I lost that bet, by the way.

24. Pie: 1. Me: 0.

25. I'm already thinking of that leftover sandwich I'm gonna have tomorrow.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
