There's a quote by an author stating, “Where you are today is no accident. God is using the situation you are in right now to shape and prepare you for the place He wants to bring you into tomorrow. Trust Him with His plan even if you don’t understand it.”
Everyone goes through struggles and hardships every day. Whether it’s the little arguments before work or something more serious, everyone goes through them. Some people take these hardships harder than others and some may even just shrug them off to just “get over it.” The fact of the matter is, everyone goes through them. For those who struggle more, I want you to know that you are never alone and that God always has a plan.
Let me repeat...you are never alone. I hope you realize that you have loving friends and family all around. In fact, the feeling of no one being around to help or no one “understanding” is just a crazy fad created by this generation.
Additionally, we have an almighty, loving God around at all times. God said that He will never leave us and will never forsake us. In those few words, we are promised that He will always be there for us. So before you use the excuse that no one is around to help throughout your struggles, know that there is always someone around that knows and understands what you are going through.
Secondly, God always has a plan for our lives. When things go awry, it’s most likely caused by our human nature trying to take control of each situation. Our God is perfect and has a perfect plan laid out of each of us. His plans for us gets messed up when we try to take control, becoming independent from Him.
The thing is, we can never be fully independent, because as Christians we must be fully dependent on God in all situations. We may have a plan all set out for tomorrow, but tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. Trusting in God and His divine plan definitely has its challenges, but it's how we overcome those challenges that makes it rewarding.
Each and every day we must run to God, fully and wholeheartedly abandoned. He is our strength and our shield. When hardships come our way we must not think of ourselves of being independent humans, but of being dependent children of God. It’s an act of faith, trust, and worship to our Creator. By being fully reliant on God and worshiping him, we show Him that we are ready for whatever He sends our way.
Sometimes we never expect certain things to happen, but we must understand that our current circumstance isn’t what matters. Paul is a great model to look to in 2 Corinthians 12:10, "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (NIV) God makes us strong each and every day. He never abandons us, so we must never abandon Him when we don't think we can't handle what He has in store for us.
