I do not know where you are in life or what stage you are in, but I am sure there is something you are struggling with. Sometimes we struggle with big things, like dealing with the lost of a loved one or a big break up. Sometimes we struggle with little things that feel like big things, like failing an exam. I mean, yeah that is pretty bad, but it is not the end of the world.
The world ends and begins for all of us every single day.
When you wake up in the morning and do your morning stretches, that is your beginning. You do not know what is going to happen in those for first 30 seconds and I am sure you have no idea what is going to happen in the next 24 hours, but you choose to get out of your bed every morning and start your day. You do not think of all of the wrong things that can possibly happen. You do not even dwell on the idea. That is no small feat.
At the end of the day, when all's said and done, no matter what has happened in your 12 hours of consciousness, your day must end. When you lay your head on your pillow and close your eyes, you are ending your world for at least a few hours.
So what does this all mean?
Think about how many times you have followed that routine. Waking up, living, and then going back to sleep.
Now think of all of the bad stuff that has happened in between the beginning and ending of your world every day. It may be hard to, I know. Mentioning bad things that have happened, hurts. Reliving bad things sucks. It may make you feel helpless and sad, but you have survived all of it. Up until this very moment, you have survived 100 percent of all of your bad days.
So where do you go from here?
I say, continue. I do not know specifically what you have been through and I do not know how long you have struggled, but somehow here you are. Life may be putting you down and really getting to you, but you can do this. You are capable. You have proved this time and time again and this time is no different. Whatever it is, you can overcome it. Whether it is the death of a loved one, the lost of an important trinket, the ending of your favorite show to binge on Netflix, or a barely passing grade on a test, you can get through this.
