As one who jumped on the bandwagon late, here's my opinion of This Is Us.

Just over a year ago, NBC came out with a new series titled This Is Us. The show stars Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley. The five make up the Pearson family: Jack, Rebecca, Randall, Kate, and Kevin.

NBC describes the show as follows:

"Everyone has a family. And every family has a story. "This Is Us" chronicles the Pearson family across the decades: from Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) as young parents in the 1980s to their 37-year-old kids Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) searching for love and fulfillment in the present day. This grounded, life-affirming dramedy reveals how the tiniest events in our lives impact who we become, and how the connections we share with each other can transcend time, distance and even death."

What their description doesn't tell you is just how much the Pearson family becomes your own. Each episode brings another twist or turn to capture viewers - there is rarely a dull moment. Just when you think things are good again and life will settle down, something else is thrown at the family that you would never expect.

The character that has captured my heart the most is Kate: the overweight sister who tries her hardest to make sure those around her are okay before taking care of herself. Throughout Kate's journey thus far, she's tried to center her life around losing weight all the while making sure her family, and fiance Toby, are okay. Chrissy Metz character is truly admirable. Her strong will and perseverance is amazing to watch. As someone who's struggled with weight for several years, watching Kate's journey is enlightening.

The Pearson's story is simply amazing, from Jack and Rebecca to Kate, Kevin, and Randall's and the strength built on the family is something I aspire to have within my own family.

I strongly encourage you, if you haven't already, to watch This Is Us. There are many shows out there about families but this one has taken the lead, in my opinion. With all the unexpected turns and amazing character build up, it's sure to capture you one episode at a time.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
